María Cecilia Rachadell

María Cecilia Rachadell has more than 25 years of experience and focuses on corporate and financial matters related to the structuring and implementation of mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, corporate restructurings, joint ventures, project financings and debt financings. She also has substantial experience in banking and capital markets transactions.

She advises both local and multinational corporations doing business in Venezuela in the corporate, contractual and regulatory aspects of their activities. She drafts and negotiates corporate and financial documents, and supervises corporate due diligence. Also, María Cecilia has participated in major national and international arbitrations, including investment arbitrations.

Before founding InterJuris Abogados, María Cecilia was Of Counsel to an international law firm and worked as associate at a leading Venezuelan law firm. She is a Certified Public Interpreter in the English language. Also, she is listed as arbitrator in the Centro de Arbitraje de la Cámara de Caracas.

María Cecilia is author of numerous articles in Arbitration, Banking and other areas of practice. Through her career, she has been awarded numerous times. Her most recent awards are: Best Finance Lawyer in Latin America by the Americas Women in Business Law Awards in 2015, Top 100 Female Lawyers in Latin America by Latinvex in 2016, Lawyer of the Year in Venezuela by the Chambers Women in Law Award in 2016 and Venezuelan Women Leader by IFLR1000 in 2020 and 2021.
