Fernando Ríos Morillo focuses his practice in Corporate and Tax matters.
Fernando has participated in multiple transactions regarding the sale of assets, mergers and acquisitions; spin offs and joint ventures of large international and local companies, having experience in the design, implementation and the drafting of the relevant documentation. During his practice, he has participated in acquisitions, fiscal audits, advised clients regarding tax and fiscal procedures before Venezuelan entities, represented clients before tax courts concerning economic, industrial and commercial tax matters against municipal entities. He also participated in several processes of incorporating trust funds in Barbados as well as incorporating a Venezuelan owned Caribbean Bank.
Before joining InterJuris Abogados, he was a Consultant at the Legal Consultants Department of the state owned Electrical Company were he gained substantial experience in public procurement matters and electrical energy regulations. He also worked as a Lawyer in the Corporate and Tax department at a leading Venezuelan law firm.
Mr. Rios is professor of Legal and Political Institutions at the Universidad Monteávila and professor of History of the Law at the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello.
