Antonio Ramírez Uzcátegui

Mr. Ramírez has more than 30 years of experience in Energy and Natural Resources, Corporate, Banking and Finance and International Law in matters of investment promotion and protection. His leadership in the design and execution of projects for the promotion, concretion and development of global businesses and investments in Peru and Portugal stands out.

Before joining InterJuris, Mr. Ramírez was President of Novo Banco, S.A., in Venezuela (universal Portuguese capital bank), partner of KPMG Venezuela and member of the Energy and Natural Resources team of KPMG International, advisor in the hydrocarbons sector, legal manager of multinational oil and gas companies such as Repsol-YPF, Lasmo PLC and ENI-AGIP E&P Division. Likewise, he has been a Partner in several internationally recognized law firms, both in Venezuela and abroad.

He holds a degree of the International Management Program of the Hydrocarbons Business Sector from Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Administración (IESA – 2006), a Master (LLM) in Labour Law from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (1994), a degree of the Program on International Financial Law, Whadam College from Oxford University (1992) and a J.D. from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (1988).

Mr. Ramírez is a former professor of Hydrocarbon Law and Labour Law at Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Caracas. Additionally, he is author of numerous articles in international, labour and energy law. Moreover, he has been awarded in multiple opportunities for his professional career.
